The way we heat our homes is changing. At a time when we are all more conscious of both our outgoings and our carbon footprint then ever, Air Source Heating has emerged as the most cost effective and energy efficient way to heat your home.
The possibility of no more gas, oil or LPG bills, plus the potential to receive a Grant of £5000 through the Government Boiler Upgrade Scheme towards the cost of your new Air Source Heating System are major advantages you will benefit from.
An Air Source Heat Pump will enable you to generate your own renewable heat and save money on your energy bills. Heat pumps can save you even more on your heating bills if you’re replacing an expensive system such as electric storage heaters, oil, LPG or coal, rather than gas.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (also referred to as BUS) is a Government funding system set up to encourage the uptake of renewable heat technologies in homes across England and Wales.
The Scheme operates to financially encourage homeowners to switch from heating their homes, (and small business premises), with fossil fuels, to systems such as Air Source Heatpumps that generate a much lower carbon footprint. It is available to anyone who owns their own home in England and Wales and is designed to cover some, if not all, of the cost of the installation.
Using the details from your Energy Performance Certificate (if you don’t already have one we can arrange to have one carried out for you) we will be able to determine whether you are eligible for the grant or not.
Unfortunately funding is only available for 30,000 air source heating systems this year and is awarded on a first come first serve basis.
The grant for air source heating to replace gas, oil or LPG boilers is set at £5000.
Contact us via our online form. We will then call you to arrange convenient day and time to carry out a site visit to check suitability, cost calculation and installation process.
We apply for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant on your behalf and provide all the necessary information to support the application to Ofgem.
Ofgem will assess the application, and once we receive the authorising voucher for this we will arrange for a qualified surveyor to visit and carry out an in depth heat loss survey.
We carry out the installation of your new air source heat pump and the system is commissioned; you start saving!
